Amen.

I received this in an e-mail from Susie Taugner and needed to share it. I hope you're as encouraged as I was.

TOP TEN PREDICTIONS NO MATTER WHO WINS THE ELECTION.

1. The Bible will still have all the answers.

2. Prayer will still work.

3. The Holy Spirit will still move.

4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.

5. There will still be God-anointed preaching.

6. There will still be singing of praise to God.

7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.

8. There will still be room at the Cross.

9. Jesus will still love you.

10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.

And God approves this message!

ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW WHO IS REALLY IN CONTROL?

Growing up so fast...

Jenell had her first taste of rice cereal this morning! It was so cute, and I think she really enjoyed it! It ended up being a big mess but it was super fun and such a big milestone! We were happy, too because we finally got to set up the high chair! Yay!

And of course, Tim and I thought we should taste the stuff... um... yuck. :) I've never been so excited over something that tasted so gross.

Visiting Family

We went to see grandparents this weekend! We had so much fun! First, we met Grandma Carol and Barbara and drove to Apple Hill, then we went to Grandma Jenell and Nana Sue's and spent the night. Then Sunday evening we went to West Sacramento and saw Grandpa Hal and Grandma Nanette. We got to spend time with our cousins Bari and Donnie, too! It was such a nice, relaxing weekend full of laughter and good... no, GREAT food!!

Jenell and Donnie! He was so cute, he wanted to make her happy when she was crying and he read her a book to help her fall asleep! What a good cousin! :)

Silly Pictures

These are just some silly pictures and video from the last few weeks that I thought I'd share!

We think spit-up is cute in our house!

This was just the silliest outfit ever and I'm pretty sure she knew it.

Playing in her toy we got from the Airman's Attic! So cute!

Steelers Baby

Tim and I aren't much for football, but my dad was a big steelers fan. Big is kind of an understatement... He and his wife, Sandy even got to go to a Steelers game before he passed away, which was awesome from what I hear!

Anyway, "Grandma Sandy" :) sent this to Jenell yesterday and I can't help but think my dad would be tickled pink by his little grandaughter's attire. :)

We miss you Grandpa!

Sick baby

This is what walked into my door after he spent four days with kids trapped in adult's bodies! (AKA- Youth Workers..) He looked so cute decked out in all his free gear! :) He has been sharing tons of stories about what God did in those few days and it sounds awesome. So wish I could have gone, but Jenell and I had a good girls' weekend anyway.

Now we're enjoying two weeks of vacation! We're not going anywhere, and that's the point. We're staying still for a while.. which is exactly what we wanted.

Chad and Michela made it possible for us to have a date night, so we went and saw Fireproof on Tuesday- It was awesome! If you have a chance, you and your significant other should see it for sure.

We've now had our first taste of a sick baby! So sad! Jenell has even lost her voice... I didn't even know babies could lose their voices! She's such a trooper, though. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Poor Baby...

We come bearing pajamas... and political chocolate...

Our good friends The Vandegrifts are back in town visiting from Elmendorf AFB, Alaska! We are so happy to see them again! We were blessed to be able to spend the evening with them playing board games and drinking coffee.. ( well Rick and me, at least. ) For just a minute, we were back at their house on a Sunday night gabbing and wearing out our welcome...

We have missed them so much and won't ever be ready to see them go back- but we are so thankful God crossed our paths and that we have them in our life.

Cheryl finally got to meet and hold Jenell and Tim got his "Cheers" experience with Rick back, if only briefly. Cheryl pulled some tricks out of her "mom bag" for me- which I fully intend to try! Rian's growing up too fast, but it's nice to know he's still just as "Rian" as when we saw him last... :)
What an awesome God we have!!

We love you so much Vandegrifts!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Tim's 29th birthday! So far, so good! Tim woke me up at 8:00 so he could have cake and presents... :)

These first few pictures are the result of a little project I was working on for Tim. :) Enjoy!

This is the one I ended up using.

This one is Tim's favorite. He says this look lets him know she's about to get REALLY mad. :)

Trying to act innocent. ;)

Looking for something to drool on, I'm sure. :)

What a fake smile! How funny is that?

This was the night before his birthday. We celebrated early with his family at their home.

He called this " the photo op"...

Another fake one... :)

Jenell happily munching on the paper! :)

Still going at it... :)

They're both just thrilled to be doing this...

The "project". It was so hard keeping this a secret! He's such a snoop!

Ha! I totally tricked him.

Yep. Cake for breakfast. 9:00AM.

This is just a little video of Jenell eating the paper. It was so cute!
