Farmington Part 2

We're back! We're trying to adjust back to reality and get out of vacation mode.. Easier said than done.
We're still not convinced this is "our car". :) We call it Grandpa Ben's car and we love it! As soon as I get done with this blog, I am on my way outside to undo the damage our 22 hour drive home caused. :) It was supposed to be a 17 hour drive... I am so clueless... I didn't really factor in the whole "baby" thing. We stopped in Laughlin, Nevada the first night and finished driving the next day. It was actually kind of hard to come home, too. Weird.
Normally we are ready to get home halfway through the vacation but we both realized when we got home we hadn't missed it or thought about "life" stuff once! So awesome. Here are the rest of the pictures from our trip. Make sure to check out the blog before this, too. It is the video of Jenell honking the horn. :)
Taking a break from the carseat. :) See the video on the blog before this.

Honking the Horn

We pulled over to let Jenell stretch her legs and play a little bit and this is what ended up happening. So awesome. And at the end of the video I freaked out because a big semi truck was about to hit our parked car... it didn't, though! :) Our last stretch of the trip yesterday was supposed to be 8 hours and turned into 13... we didn't get home until after 11 PM and Jenell is now sick again... :P I'll post the rest of the trip pictures later!

Farmington

We're enjoying Farmington so much! So far we've enjoyed a crazy superbowl party where we had even numbers of Cardinals and Steelers fans... it was nuts. We got to see my best friend Christa (although somehow I managed not take any pictures of her with Jenell and I'm furious..) and our other good friend Brittany and her sweet little girl Elliora who is 5 weeks old and beautiful! Then Brittany and I met up with our high school choir director, Dr.Walker to introduce him to the little girls! :)

I also got a wonderful surprise when Sandy presented me with a ring in memory of my dad- (she had one made for me, Tay, Ali and Kaley) with my birthstone and his. My birthstone is alexandrite and if you knew this cool, but I didn't... it changes colors! When she gave it to me it was purple-y and I looked down at it when we were running errands and it was green!! Obviously, I freaked out and called Sandy and she explained it to me! Ha! We still have lots planned and we are enjoying the New Mexico scenery so much.

Saturday in West Sacramento

We spent Saturday in West Sacramento with Great-Grandpa Hal and Great-Grandma Nanette. Jenell needed to open her Christmas present! (It's been waiting at their house a long time!) Afterward, we went to an old friend's house to meet her sweet little baby, Chase! He is a little more than a month younger than Jenell. How cute is he??

Chase grabbing Jenell. :)

"Um, mom... did you see what he just did?"

" I give up."

Grandpa and Jenell spending quality time...? Don't worry, it's closed...

Drooling like crazy

God's got it under control... as usual..

So around the time that we lost Tatum, our washer, dryer and car broke. The car had gas leaking onto the alternator and we thought it was fixed.. a few times. :) Then, out of the blue the car just stopped working while I was driving it on base. I guess the transmission broke...? We put out a prayer request and lots of people were praying and God provided us with (more than one actually) a vehicle to get us around while the Kia was being repaired. Thanks so much Maria, James, Dave and Kathy! Before we knew for sure that it was beyond repair ( which it is... ), God used my dad's wife, Sandy to provide us with a new car!! That we get to keep! It is super special because it was my dad's and it's perfect for our family! And it will last! How awesome is that??? Um, woah. We are still having a hard time believing it. The trip to New Mexico to go pick up the car is in the works and that's exciting, too because I am going to be able to see my sister and even some friends I haven't seen in like 4 years! :) Thank you, Jesus!!!!

Here are some pictures of our "little" (ha!) girl!!
